I really don't think there is a better product for small pickups, especially ones that aren't too heavy. This isn't the kind of product you want to use with the old 4ft loose stanchions on 20ft bobtail trucks as you have to juggle the entire post section to line it up and they get heavy quickly. However, they are ideal for pickup sections from 18" to 32" in height. There are no moving parts to bang around and they're more than solid enough. They look like 8 gauge electro galvanized steel and have 5/16 inch mounting holes. I've used 1/4 inch with no problems.
