Review on ๐Ÿ”Œ ALLICAVER Outlet Shelf with Built-In Cable Management - Space Saving Solution for Google Home, Homepod Mini, Smart Speakers, Cellphones, Electric Toothbrush, and More (White-standard) by Ryan Lindstrom

Revainrating 3 out of 5

No more than 3-4 pounds. Too thin to hold without bending over.

I bought to find my Sonos Play:1 speakers off the floor and to neatly hide the cables in the bottom of the shelf. As you can see from the photos the shelf is not capable of holding a 4.5 lb speaker. The angle of the first picture exaggerates the problem a bit, but the second picture shows the problem head-on. Shelf Plate (the piece attached to the outlet is not strong enough and thick enough to support the load without flexing in the top 2 inches. This causes the speaker to tip forward as if about to hit the floor dive lol.I gave it 5 stars because it is very easy to install.Tucking away the cord in the shelf is adequate even for a 3ft power cord, however, it takes a lot of effort to wrap the cord evenly enough that the shelf does not rise. The top of the shelf does not snap to the horizontal support so the cable can just slide out.It would be much better to have a locking tab so the top cover of the shelf snaps and pushes the cables down rather than the other way around, which also happens when a 4.5 pound speaker is placed on it.

Pros
  • Hands-free
Cons
  • Disappear
