Review on Enhanced Epson Home Cinema 8350 Replacement Bulb ELPLP49 V13H010L49 with Housing - Lamp for Epson H373a and H419a Projectors by Will Lockhart

We bought this bulb to replace a bulb that had around 4000 hours on it. While this lamp was definitely brighter than a lamp with that many hours of use, it has 2 downsides. The contrast of this bulb is nowhere near as good as that of the old bulb. Black is washed out and looks more like gray. The bigger downside, however, is that the lightbulb has magenta artifacts on the right side of the screen. This is very noticeable in ice hockey as the artifacts are clearly visible on white ice. We thought there might be dust on the lens, but it's not. We ended up putting the old lightbulb back into the projector and the purple artifacts are gone, so we know it's definitely the lightbulb itself. Looks like it's time to try another brand as we had high hopes for this bulb but it didn't live up to expectations.
