I've used this about 20 times to check the air pressure on a couple of tires for myself and a couple of others. With almost full tires, you can increase the tire pressure by about 1psi in about 30 to 60 seconds, depending on the tire. So your tire should add 5 pounds, which takes 2-5 minutes. I did a nearly flat tire - took about 20 minutes and never filled up. But there was enough pressure (about 75% full) to go to the gas station and fill up. I understand why people don't like the pump for slow and noisy work; But for casual use to inflate a tire it works great. Now I have one in every car because it's so small/light and so efficient. Also, it's much more convenient than buying air at a gas station for easy refueling.
