Initially the color didn't match my son's helmet but we decided to give it a try anyway. What the list doesn't say is that in order to be able to drill holes in your child's helmet to attach the flap, you have to cut and remove the padding inside the helmet. If you manage to remove all of this without completely destroying the padding inside the helmet at the temples, you'll have to deal with a helmet-integrated chin strap snap, and it's impossible to remove. The flap will not fit on the outside of the helmet unless you pull out that metal latch and it will not be easy to remove. For time and hassle, I could buy a new helmet with a valve for an additional $20. It's worth my time. Do not buy.
