Review on VR Beatz Virtual Reality Headset: Goggles Glasses for Immersive VR Experience by William Turner

The device arrived on time. I like the quality of the plastic compared to the cardboard versions. It seems to be compatible with Cardboard. I downloaded some Cardboard apps for this and found them to work as expected. I was disappointed with the lack of instructions on both the device and the apps. Since no applications are included, I had to download them from the PlayStore. I found very little user help online so I had to turn to my grandson for general help. Many of the applications that come with the Cardboard download are not free and appear to be primarily intended for gaming. Very little about travel, education or any other genre. One of the apps that comes with the Cardboard download has a series of 'sites' categorized by country and city. Strangely most places are mosques. I also found some demos of little interest but not very 3D. There are customizations and settings for specific headsets, none of which are VRbeatz headsets. I use universal cardboard but there are two versions of it, I have no idea what the difference is and they are not described anywhere I could find them. I also found that in some apps it was impossible to exit the app other than restarting the phone. I assume there is, but I couldn't find it. One oddity I found was that since there were no commands showing on the display, there was no way to perform the equivalent of a left click. I've found that you have to look at the ground to find the commands available. All in all, it's probably not the device but the state of the art, VR seems to be in beta and still needs a lot of work. I'm sure these comments are probably dubious to experts, but the technology isn't for the faint of heart.
