Review on Meross Dimmable πŸ”Œ Smart Bulb with Assistant Compatibility by Matthew Riley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Anyway configured with the Merros app, not directly in Homekit

I bought them on purpose because they said "no hub required". The instructions in the box were for Homekit so I set it up that way and it was very easy. Tried turning on the light while I'm away from home and was told a hub was required. The Homekit hub options are at least $100 so I was very disappointed and thought I'd send the bulbs back or buy an Echo which I really don't want. Then I discovered that the Merros app allows you to set schedules and manage them from anywhere. Removed the lightbulb from the home app and simply reset it using the merros app, which also put it back into the home app. Now my light will turn on automatically whether I'm at home or not, and I can also turn it on and off when I'm not at home.

Pros
  • Schedules and Energy Saving: Set schedules according to your daily activities, the wifi smart bulb will turn on automatically to wake you up gently in the morning and turn off automatically afterwards off you fall asleep Support countdown timer, sunrise and sunset setting. Power consumption 9W, which is equivalent to the brightness of a 60W incandescent lamp, saving up to 85% energy.
