I bought this drive for my old computer. It works fast enough; quite well formatted; 1.6 TB copied per night. When idle (use the drive for file history and backup) it had a noticeable vibration and seemed to affect the onboard controller, where the hard drive light blinked in unison with the drive's harmonic vibration. This happened when the drive was not in use (just sitting in the case waiting for some action). So it's likely I have one of those discs that could have disc or spindle misalignment. I just leave it disabled until I back up file history once a week. From now on I'll stick with name brand drives (even the cheapest ones).
