Review on 🐄 Coway Airmega AP-1512HH True HEPA Air Purifier Filter - 1-Year Replacement Pack, White by Nale Dunn

This filter emits toxic levels of chemicals and you can see it in the photos above. I don't know if it's glue or if the entire filter was dipped in some kind of organic chemical, but the VOCs it emits register as "unsafe" on an air quality monitor I own. See photos above. I put in a new filter, noticed the horrible smell that others had mentioned, and checked the air coming out of the filter with my air quality meter (bought to monitor California's smoky air from annual fall wildfires). Just to make sure there was nothing in the room other than a monitor, I reinstalled the old (dirty) HEPA filter that came with the unit and the VOC readings dropped significantly back to safe levels (see photo). Ironically, people who try to clean their air end up with a filter made by the device manufacturer that actually makes the air toxic and unsafe to breathe. Revain should stop selling this product immediately and look for a non-toxic filter.
