🐄 Coway Airmega AP-1512HH True HEPA Air Purifier Filter - 1-Year Replacement Pack, White Review

The HEPA filter in this refill smells terrible which does not inspire much confidence in the quality of the air coming out of the air purifier. This problem did not exist with the native filter. If possible I will look for a replacement.

I bought this product thinking it was a genuine replacement filter kit for my Cowan air purifier. The packaging looks nice and the HEPA filter fits perfectly, but the odor filter (charcoal mesh) isn't square at all and sticks out when I try to put it in the holder. I expect a perfect fit for the price I paid.

I don't know if this product is legit. The air purifier came with a filter and it didn't smell. This replacement filter smells awful, an overwhelming chemical smell. I tried to air, I tried to walk for several days, nothing changed. It's overwhelming. I'm assuming it's fake even though the packaging looked real. Unfortunately I threw away the packaging and can no longer send it back.

Disgusting. I feel sick after running this filter for 10 minutes. I don't know what kind of chemical this filter releases, but it's TERRIBLE. This is the second time I've bought replacement filters for my Covey. Everything was fine the first time, but this batch has a strong odor that makes me sick. First, there were glue stains on the edges of the hepa that still felt tacky. Second, the charcoal filter was too big to fit in the frame. It was too big both in width and height, I had to cut it. I'll leave the cleaner running for a few more hours but if the smell is still there I'll send it back. I'm not sure what I'm going to use…

I have had an AP-1512HH air purifier since 2017 and I am generally satisfied with it. This filter emits toxic levels of chemicals and you can see it in the photos above.
