Review on πŸ”§ Aluminum Carpenter Clamps for Woodworking Positioning by Robert Yates

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Is it fashionable to be square?

If you are a woodworker and want to create projects that require crossing two sections of material at right angles, then yes, being square would be in fashion. Layout slats are great for keeping your project square. When assembling small frames, they provide accurate squareness for reference. One side is engraved in metric and the other side is engraved in SAE. Each bar has a series of holes that attach to an L-bolt and connect to the post with a plastic nut. Your project stays true to 90 degrees and flat. Clamping on the outer corner is no problem thanks to the embossed pocket milled into the inner corner of the blocks. I tried them on a cherry flange covering the gap between the outlet and the top of the cabinet. This was my third attempt at using the corner clamp, but since these were small parts, my larger 90 corner clamps were too big for this project. Hello layout boards! Just the right size and very accurate. After laying out the design dry, I found that the layout bar and attached L-shaped patches had to be in the same plane as the workpiece. Just make sure your workpieces are flat on the table along with the prototyping bars, spacers, and L-Bot nuts. Precision machined, hard red anodized and packaged in form-fitting foam packaging - a great value product. It is so well made that you can now build a square frame and hang it on the wall.
