I needed something to elevate my laptop to keep it from overheating and letting the fans run. They do it perfectly and also tilt the keyboard to the best angle for typing. Silicone prevents the laptop from slipping when tilted. It doesn't need to be attached, is easy to use and fits in my travel bag.
