This cable was exactly what we were looking for for our GPS. We use it in our Toyota Sienna minivan; 3-1/2 feet long is enough but not too much. Our power source is in the front of the van and the cable is short enough that we can only mount our GPS next to the rearview mirror - this isn't a problem for us because that's where we usually want to be GEOGRAPHICAL POSITIONING SYSTEM. However, if you like it "deep" and on the left side of the driver, the length will not be enough. This should be considered when buying a cord.
