I work as a musician and needed a FAST solution to get drums at small gigs. My complaint about this kit isn't related to the mics themselves. The mics actually sound pretty damn good. I would compare them to the standard Shure 57 and was actually very happy with the sound quality. The problem is the 3/8 to 5/8 adapters that screw into the bottom of the capacitors. 3 of the 4 tom/snare mic adapters don't really fit in their own mic holes. These screw into the mic, but the adapters mentioned don't fit the mics snugly, causing the mics to fall off. It's worth trying your own solution, but be aware that the parts included for attaching to mic stands are VERY cheap and you may need to find something to make this work. For the price and the fast and great sounding drum mic kit it's helpful, but the hardware isn't up to scratch.
