Quality material, neck fits my "husky" boy's neck. He is 9 years old and weighs 85 pounds. i love colors I chose this tie because of the color but mostly for security reasons. My son had to wear it to school all day and the thought of snagging on a tie bothered me. The part that goes around the neck is nicely fixed at the back with a Velcro fastener that can be easily hidden under the collar. If for some reason the tie got caught on something, it was sure to break. Ideal for elementary school. It's also much more convenient than a tie clip and once it's attached he won't be tempted to to play around with it. He even asked me to "take him off the hook" when it came time to shoot.
