Review on πŸ”§ Renogy Drill-Free Mount Set for RV, Boats - Corner Bracket Solar Panel Roof Installation by Nate Jenkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The holes in my roof are not drilled.

I buy it for the second time. I try to drill and use self tapping screws to loosely screw them to the solar panels at the ends to allow the brackets to tilt to follow the contour of the RV's roof. I then use 3M VHB tape on the underside of the brackets and place the panels and side brackets in place. I then unscrew and remove the panels, leaving the brackets in place. I then seal with Sikaflex 252 all around and a little above the flat parts. Then I placed the panels on the brackets. Then I screw in all the screws. Then, after a few weeks of curing, I coat the entire adhesive with Dicor self-leveling sealer to protect everything. The panels look like they were welded on and are rock hard. The brackets allow the panels to sit low enough to be aerodynamic but allow the air underneath to cool the panels. It's better to drill dozens of holes in your roof. I actually routed (drilled and caulked) the solar cables down and out of the vent pipe (bathroom wall access) to complete the entire installation without new holes in the roof. I recommend.
