Review on π§ Efficient Mixing and Stirring with Magnetic Stirrer Mixer Spinbar Stirring by Robert Hardin
They work great but they seem to demagnetize if heated too much
I've used them many times and sometimes they get very magnetic before using them in a reaction and then after of the reaction I can't get them even if you use neodymium magnets outdoors. It seems that heating to around 200C or higher for a few hours will demagnetize them to some extent.
