Review on Digitizer Assembly Replacement Samsung SM T387V by Payton Luna

I bought this to replace the cracked screen on my friend's Galaxy Tab 8. The tablet had a crack on the outer screen/digitizer and the touch functions didn't work properly and his daughter couldn't see the screen well. The price was reasonable and the screen replacement quality is good, durable and well made. However, if you have never attempted this type of repair before during the installation process, it can be intimidating. If you're trying to replace the screen, use clear tape around the screen so it doesn't crack or cut you. Most screens come with adhesive to attach them to the case. I used a heat gun to heat the glue and a plastic spatula to slide it under the glass, being careful of the glass LCD underneath. After removing the old broken screen, the new screen installed easily. I had an issue with the supplied tape not sticking to some stains despite cleaning the surfaces very well. I even used the heat gun again to make duct tape again but no luck. I'm fine with this as everything works great and every now and then I have to press a spot in the corner to depress it. In general, I would recommend it as a replacement for a digitizer.
