It is very difficult to choose a diet food for dogs. Although I haven't weighed my dog yet (it's only been two weeks since I've finished dressing), his coat is already shiny! After reading the reviews I was a little apprehensive about switching to the Natural Balance Fat Dogs food as some customers have complained of diarrhea and large bowel movements. My dog is a service dog and comes to work every day. I took my time with the replacement, only adding 1/4 cup of new food every 4 days and although his stools were quite large at first they are back to normal now. After we have been to the vet I will report any weight loss. The food itself is rated highly on the website I usually use to review these things. Most of the protein comes from plants, but that doesn't seem to matter as my dog's coat and energy levels show he's getting the right nutrition.
