Review on Modular Kids Sofa for πŸ›‹οΈ Toddlers and Babies: Milliard Kids Couch by Mary Brown

Keeps kids busy for hours but replacements/returns are terrible

Really like this sofa for my kids. I'm amazed at how easy it is to clean and how they enjoy using it. In between machine washing the covers, whenever they need spot cleaning, I just use a washcloth, give it a little wipe and any dirt or mess is removed instantly. From building forts to relaxing and watching a movie, this is a great price for hours of entertainment. However, when it arrived there was a small tear in one of the fillet welds. I wanted to replace it with an undamaged one, and that's when the problems started. Shipping is free, but a box big enough to ship back is $40. I paid $85 for it (I think it's listed as $150 now) which means the cost of shipping it back for a replacement is technically 1/3-1/2 the cost of the actual item . It has been vacuum sealed in a tiny box which means using the original is not an option unless you know someone who has a vacuum sealer. I spoke to Amazon customer service about my concerns and they assured me shipping was free, they could issue a refund, send a replacement immediately, I had 30 days to ship the damaged one and they could send a courier . stick it on and pick it up for me the next working day. I asked if I needed to vacuum it again for shipping and they said no. So I agreed, thinking that they would just take it and take care of it. The problem seems to be in the box. Now I have options: spend $125 on something that should have been $85, or pay $170 for a good sofa and a damaged sofa. This is a hopeless situation. Anyway, great product, a pain in the ass to have it replaced or returned.
