later The spacer doesn't have retaining tabs to help it stay on the screw, so it's almost impossible to install to support the center of a large panel. They're only really useful around the edges of the pegboard where you can hold the spacer by the screw when mounting it to the wall. I ended up cutting small squares out of 5/8 plywood to use as spacers, nailed studs to the wall to temporarily hold them in place, then screwed them in to hang the perforated board. Much easier than trying to get a screw in the gasket and hoping it stays there while struggling with a sheet of perforated 4x8 board.
