Perfect for pegboard hooks

The only downside is that I wish there were small washers included to keep the screw from sinking into the peg hole in the board which is used for digging. Luckily I had several small washing machines and was able to make the necessary adjustments and keep reorganizing the tricky things!

Installation can be tricky

Had to bend the gasket a bit during installation. If you're hanging a 4' x 4' perforated metal sheet, you need to be careful not to let the standoffs fall off the screws as you attach them. Someone has to find a better way to do this. After installing the overlay, they worked as advertised.

later The spacer doesn't have retaining tabs to help it stay on the screw, so it's almost impossible to install to support the center of a large panel. They're only really useful around the edges of the pegboard where you can hold the spacer by the screw when mounting it to the wall. I ended up cutting small squares out of 5/8 plywood to use as spacers, nailed studs to the wall to temporarily hold them in place, then screwed them in to hang the perforated board.
