Cute but requires landline phone

Received this as a gift. The recipient loves it but I'm not sure how much use they will get from it as it requires a landline for work and we don't have one in our house. It would be nice if it was Bluetooth compatible, but it doesn't claim that, so I don't blame the company. For purely aesthetic reasons, the phone performs well. I can't say anything about the actual use.
