The wheels have been repaired, the handcart is back in shape.
This was just what I needed to secure the wheels to a hand truck that came with one-off locking clamps with compression nuts on the axles. . After the existing clamps broke, I decided to invest in a real solution rather than repeating the buggy manufacturer's mistake. At $0.89 each and free shipping from Prime, that decision was pretty easy.
