Unfortunately, my eyes clouded and my jointed fingers refused to do those tiny quilting stitches in my younger years. Then I heard about big stitch quilting, which some people call universal quilting, and started saving needles for this project. I didn't like any of them. Too short; too boring; too thick etc. Then I saw Pepper Cory needles specifically for large stitches and ordered a pack. I was excited. Perfect needles for my new challenge. I liked them so much I ordered two more packs (because I hate not being able to find something I know this house has) and put them in my sewing box where they will always be handy will. These are the best needles when you want to make big stitches. And I can promise you they're sharp enough to go through two layers of fabric plus batting without using a thimble.
