I've bought two of these and haven't had any problems with them so far. They fit my side-mounted 12.9" iPad Pro and the bracket is large enough to bypass the rugged case I have on my iPad. Tightening the nut creates enough friction on the ball joint to allow rotation to keep the iPad from sagging under the weight of the iPad + case. My only concern is the possible plastic fatigue of the ball joint that connects the tripod mount and the iPad mount. If I could improve the design, I would consider the metal ball joint and seat However, at the time of writing this review, I haven't had any issues with durability.
