First of all I have to admit that I rolled my eyes a little myself when I saw people commenting on this product and mentioning the smell. Well, I take back my words. Holy Moly. They smell REALLY SUPER strong and chemical, but I can overlook that! Second, the material it's made of is very smooth, so our bed slides in easily. If you have kids who feel the need to jump out of bed OR you and your significant other want some alone time, this is not for you! Your bed will slide and move and you just won't feel safe. I returned them. I gave two stars because they are pleasing to the eye and elevate the bed.
