This is a bright light. It annoys me to drive behind someone with that light on so I know the cars can see me. If I find a brighter one with the same battery life I will replace it. I think one of the original pre 2012 models with a thin piece of plastic covering the switch. This model has served me well over the last 4 years with over 10,000 miles. The thin plastic over the switch may have cracked in the first year or two, but the light still worked well with the rechargeable batteries being charged each month. I called after my light started turning off flashing mode and turning on immediately when a little damp. I wanted to buy a new flashlight back plate but customer service offered to replace my flashlight. This was after over four years of daily use. I was able to contact CS very easily and was a pleasure to deal with. I received my new light with the new "improved" button in less than a week. I know the button is a lot more durable, it's just a little harder to turn on with gloves on, big deal. I also use a Planet bicycle front light, which has served me well despite a good five falls. Knowing that I will receive this level of support for an old (older) flashlight will only make me want to continue supporting this company. Unfortunately I lost my spare lamp, through my fault I didn't tighten the screw enough and one day it fell off. I didn't even have time to change the batteries, I had it so fast. So the third to the Amazon. A good thing, it's cheaper than when you originally bought the light.
