I had one a few years ago and it was great, thick plastic and durable. My last lasted years. However for me this was only a few months old and was starting to bend in the neck area creating a breakage as you can see in the photos. In use, it also flexes and twists when simply sifting through dirt. To be honest, I don't expect it to last a few more months at best. The plastic is really too flimsy, the back of the handle sags so there's no real support when picking it up, and the handles aren't even thick enough to stuff your hand making it awkward to use when shoveling. The idea is good and in fact if everything were heavier and made of thicker plastic like the old ones then it would be great. I feel like they have reduced the amount of plastic they use to save money or shipping weight? Whatever the reason, the changes they made didn't make the product any better. The shovel works, the holder works well and is easy to clean. The spatula sinks well and doesn't loosen clumps with the spatula I use. I just wish it was stronger and had more weight because while it's not overly expensive I don't want to buy and replace it every six months.
