The inner core of the wire was a dark gray material that was very brittle when bent to crimp the terminals. I did not see any copper wire in these "wires". I'm not sure what the vein is made of. The cables seem to work fine after installation with the new MSD HEI distributor, the motor is MUCH more responsive. I don't know how much it has to do with cables. While this is effective, it is NOT what I expected when I thought I was going to buy copper core coiled wires. Let's see how long they last.
