We just got back from diving in Hawaii - I LOVE this camera! Thought it was broken - couldn't close the watertight flap (battery, SD, ports). A bit of compressed air to blow out what was supposed to be a grain of sand fixed it and I'm back in business. I was looking for a replacement (I was looking at another Olympus model - TG-4 or TG-870), but for $300-$450 I'm glad my old stable TG-810 (which I bought in 2012 paid $180) is still in the game. As other reviewers have noted, battery life could be better, restaging is very slow, and low lighting isn't its forte. HOWEVER, underwater photos are excellent and I've never had a problem with water intrusion. I have a 32GB SDHC card that contains a lot of photos. I'm a big fan of the Panasonic Lumix (I've had three of these over the past few decades), but when I'm going near water, the TG-810 is my go-to choice. go to selection. All photos below were taken underwater. The first three were filmed in Disney's Aulani Resort Lagoon (Crystal Clear Water) in 2012. The fourth was captured just this week at Waikoloa Beach Resort in its lagoon - the water was a little murky but still a good shot of a sea turtle from 5 feet away. The last three photos were taken on the black sand beach of Mauna Lani 49. The water was clear and unlike the first three photos, everything was in the open sea.
