Olympus TG 610 Digital Camera Optical Review

Excellent Camera. It's nice when I have a camera and don't have to worry about damaging it outside, especially when doing water sports or when it's raining. I took the TG-610 to the Cayman Islands and took some amazing underwater shots. The images were significantly better than those of a disposable underwater camera. We just got back from diving in Hawaii - I LOVE this camera! Thought it was broken - couldn't close the watertight flap (battery, SD, ports). A bit of compressed air to blow out what was supposed to be a grain of sand fixed it and I'm back in business. I was looking for a replacement (I was looking at another Olympus model - TG-4 or TG-870), but for $300-$450 I'm glad my old stable TG-810 (which I bought in 2012 paid $180) is still in the game. This camera is a significant improvement over the Tough 6020. The Tough 610 is the third 'hard' Olympus stylus I own. I started with a 720 SW, upgraded to a 6020 and now own a 610. The 610 is the best of them all. First, the on-time has been reset to around a second, around the same time as the 720 SW. .
