Review on Neiko 01407A Stainless Steel Digital Electronic by Tim Beckett

Failed to load media. I compared the NEIKO 01407A to 6 other digital calipers in this video test. (Video size and quality scaled down to fit Revains limits, watch the full video on my GadgetClass YouTube channel). the cheapest, and many more people bought it, but compared to all the other calipers in the review, it actually received a low score across the entire dataset. Build quality and accuracy are not as good compared to the iGaging EZCAL. There is a gap between the internal measuring jaws, making all internal measurements inaccurate. Summary: Spend another $10 and get the iGaging EZCal, the best digital caliper in the group under $30. iGaging IP54 Electronic Digital Caliper 0-6 Inch Display Inches/Metric/Fractions Stainless Steel Case Cons: There is a gap between the internal calipers making all internal measurements inaccurate. Check out my youtube video showing this gap visually. The entire data set is consistent with its nominal accuracy of 0.0015 inches. It is NOT accurate when measured at the end of the jaws where it will vary by up to 0.003" (out of spec). "Misalignment" between the guide body and the measuring body of the caliper, which is a serious reason for being out of specification. Build and build quality compares poorly to iGaging EZCalPros: is it cheap? Some have managed to crack the data output cable on them.
