This wiper arm does not have a serrated bushing, the bushing is perfectly smooth and the wiper arm I removed is serrated as is the wiper strut. I had to cut off my old arm because it was covered in rust, but I cleaned it up, put some anti-seize on the stock and all went well. Of course, since there are no teeth between the bushing and the wiper motor shaft, you must hold onto the wiper arm. Once I tightened the nut the lever worked fine and the spring tension is much higher than the factory lever which is worn and will not clear the window. If your wiper leaves parts of the window intact, it's the spring tension that's adjustable. Therefore, replacement is the only way I know of to fix this issue, which is a worn wiper arm. This lever has much better spring tension and the blade is perfect for scraping and cleaning the window. For a small Toyota replacement, this works well for me. It was only a few dollars more than a replacement Toyota blade.
