Use stainless steel marine hardware and a flat washer to protect aluminum couplers.
Stainless Steel Ball Good. An electroplated "steel" split washer/nut is junk and will damage your beautiful aluminum hitch if overtightened. Go to an online boat building store to purchase stainless steel hardware and use a flat washer to secure the aluminum coupler.
- PRECISE FIT. This hitch ball is 2-5/16" in diameter and will fit almost any 2-5/16" hitch. Ball shank is 1" in diameter and 2-1/8" in length for secure attachment to hitch ball mount
