I have been using this product for a year and it is effective. We have two cats and both have different personalities and behavioral issues. They quarreled too often and didn't just quarrel. One who was wild had trouble using the litter box and the other had a very dominant personality and would sometimes mark his territory on the bed! Feliway calmed her down and we were able to solve the throwing and dominance issues (Cat Attract Litter helped too). They got easier with each other. They still fight from time to time but are noticeably more cheerful, playful and affectionate when I'm using Feliway. There were months where I stopped using it and gradually some of the behavioral issues came back, especially with a more dominant cat, so I'm sticking with it. The good news is that I've found that I don't have to leave it on 24/7 (after a week of non-stop use to get it back in) for optimal results. Leaving it on during the day or overnight works well and results in refills that last twice as long.********UPDATE 2/2014***************My cats are like sisters now but using Feliway still improves their quality of life. There's also a difference in when I put it away and when I use it again (after Sandy we went without power for weeks and then were uprooted for months) so I always use it for her. Early stages of CKD (chronic kidney failure) in older cats. It wasn't a question of dominance (or territory) as I thought when writing this review. She has been taking her medication well for many years, is energetic, still strong and has no urinary incontinence apart from a slightly higher tendency to cystitis. Cats may still be territorial, but now they're playful. This is a must have product and I highly recommend trying it out if you have cats that are anxious, stressed or have behavioral issues.
