Not backless - my new review
Fits pretty well (I'm 5'0", 112 lbs, athletic build), but it's not backless. There are two buttons that hold the back together at the top of the spine, but you can't leave it unbuttoned without it looking unbuttoned, and the two halves cover too much to call it a backless dress.
