Review on Silverstone SST SDP11 3 5 Mounting Adapter Bracket by Derick Johns

Works as previously advertised. Good: connects four devices with just one power cable. There is enough space between the circuit board and the location of the m.2 devices to allow airflow to the rear of the m.2 devices. The package also included cables, which I wasn't expecting (nice bonus!). Cons: Standoff screws look a bit opaque at first glance, and slots that are too big don't seem optimal; a Phillips screw would probably be better (I suspect the design used was chosen because it was cheap). Also the distance between the metal bracket and the circuit board seems to be too big; This space is better utilized when air can flow around m.2 devices, especially as there may not be much room for heatsinks depending on the build. (Radiators that require more than 0.5mm of lateral clearance probably won't fit, as m.2 devices need to be packed tight enough to fit the 3.5" form factor.) Of the two I bought on one, one of the plastic brackets where the pins of the M.2 drives plug in was damaged, I had to pick pieces of plastic out of the slot before I could insert the M.2 device Still works but it's a shame it's slipped QC .
