An inexpensive way to try aero bars

I bought these aero bars to give me extra seating on long rides. I'm not sure I'll start it because I haven't been able to drive it for more than a minute or two at a time so far. This is partly due to my lack of comfort due to the loss of control when driving. One of the reasons for this is that this position is not particularly comfortable for me. However, I'm not sure if the handlebars are really to blame for this last issue: it might work for me on the bike as well. The handlebar itself is pretty easy to install. Installation issues were really about what to do with the other things installed on my bike. My Knog call was ported to aero bars (I believe it was designed for thinner bars) using the spacers that came with the bar itself. My computer was a bit more of a problem. It might fit between the bars but then I couldn't put the computer on or off the bike because I couldn't rotate the computer. I ended up 3D printing an elongated bracket for it. (3D printers are great!) It works, but the viewing angle when viewed further on the bike isn't that great. Just an inch or two, but I can tell. The bars are simple, but I'm not sure how complex they really need to be. The armrest pads are attached with Velcro, making it easy to change the pads to one of two positions. I saw another set of bars that had the pads attached with double-sided tape, which seems like a less elegant option. The steering wheel and armrests appear to be well constructed. It should be obvious that I'm not doing this as some competitive cyclist, but the handlebar weight is about 1 pound (about 450 grams). Maybe the extra weight on my bike will help me shed a pound? So I do these 4 starts mainly because I feel like they don't suit me, but I don't know if they do. really because of the design of the handlebars, the size of the bike frame relative to my frame, my lack of experience or my expectations. But for the price, they might be worth trying to see if they work for you.
