This is the third time I have replaced my vacuum hose. My ex-husband had it installed last time, so I don't know how much hassle it was, but I remember it cost almost double the price a few years ago. Fitting it into the base of your VAC was no easy task. You need a lot of force to snap it in, I think if they just shortened the length of the tip by at least 1mm it would be a lot easier. I ended up having to use a utility knife and a lot of anger and frustration to finally get it in place. I would imagine this would be extremely difficult for someone older or very small. Eventually it will fit into place, but there is someone strong and patient to install it.
