I bought these lights with high hopes as I read MANY good reviews. I'm not sure if they've started doing anything else but the overall product was disappointing. Don't count on using the remote because 1. it almost never works even if you point it directly at a port or box (expect to press the same button at least 20 times before it finally does something) . 2. The battery will literally slide off by itself 80% of the time. 3. It looks like a cheap $1 plastic toy. Glue also doesn't stick well to hard plastics. It's constantly dropped and fallen on my feet while driving (such a hazard if you don't notice the wire while driving). Don't even get me started on the app. Played around with it for 20 minutes and there is no way to sync the light to your music on the app. I would skip this if the remote actually worked and let me do it manually. Finally, the colors are ONLY visible at night (in order for them to look relatively decent in your car, they need to be in total darkness). If you're interested in leaving just one color all night and want to buy velcro straps to attach them to your lanterns to keep them from falling, then this product might be for you! If not, look elsewhere and save time!
