I installed a new stereo with CarPlay in my car and wanted something that would fit neatly in the compartment under the stereo. I was concerned about the L shaped USB because my USB is in the corner. But luckily, USB works both ways, so it doesn't really matter in the end. Only the logo on the zippered end lights up. I thought both sides should be lit and my USB side is NOT lit. But I emailed the company and they claim that's how it should be. The cable is nice and compact, though, charges up where it needs to go, and also (so far) my phone connects reliably to CarPlay. I will update if anything changes!
