My 4 year old spent all of last winter in winter boots because he could easily put them on. He wore them even when it wasn't cold. I wanted something similar for him this year without the band. Something he could play outside in and ride his 4 wheeler in, but could also be worn with jeans. Okay, these boots arrived yesterday and he didn't take them off. They are so comfortable he asked if he could put them on the bed! However, a fur "insole" came out today. In fact, this is not an insole, but a cover for the insole - a thin piece of "fur" is placed on the insole and is not glued to the insole in any way. Since my son prefers to walk in socks (that's why I ordered boots with fur lining), he doesn't feel so comfortable barefoot without lining (they are rubber). I'm only deducting one star because I hope I've found a good solution: removable, washable insoles. Since he likes to walk in his socks, his shoes can get quite smelly. Finally, removable, washable insoles would be a blessing. I just wish I didn't have to pay as much for them as I did for the boots themselves. But if the insoles I ordered work, I plan on buying another pair of these boots in a different color. .
