Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality Hardware

After many hours of research, purchasing a professional quality mandolin over the cheaper plastic versions was the right decision. It complements other SS accessories in the kitchen when left on the counter. It comes with a small white plastic box to store 5 blades (looks cheap compared to the food slicer). I've seen a device with a carrying case and wish this one had one for storage. The instruction manual is minimal but sufficient. Two blades are inserted on the right, 3 are inserted on the left, which facilitates correct insertion. I've only tried the slide blade for slicing eggplant and melons. Exceptionally smooth discs. It's easy to clean, but be careful, the blades are very sharp. Two knobs on the side make it easy to adjust the thickness of the slice. If you plan on using your slicer at least once a week, it's worth the investment. I will add more as I have more experience.
