This is a great puzzle, difficult to put together but useful. If, like me, you count the pieces before you start, you may be alerted that it's 43 pieces, not 44. That's correct. The seller advised me to contact the manufacturer. The company replied that it took some time because they calculated several puzzles themselves to verify the number. Relax! I was very impressed that they took the time to do this. The manufacturer has confirmed that the correct number of pieces for this puzzle is 43 and not 44. There are pieces numbered 1 through 37 and 6 pieces that are unnumbered. So if you have them, you have the complete puzzle and nothing is missing. My daughter and her friend put this puzzle together following another reviewer's advice to use museum wax to hold the pieces in place. This worked very well to stabilize the puzzle during assembly. It turned out very nice, albeit more difficult than the girls expected. Very helpful and very well received!
