Not only are the sticks of the highest quality, but I've once mastered the art of assembling them (it's easy, I just missed the obvious - pull tight!). I'm perfectly satisfied. There is also a good YouTube video showing assembly. The company responded to my query within an hour and called back a day later. The poles are lightweight and fold down to a convenient size to fit into compact bags that easily attach to a backpack. I'm not a young person (many in their 70's) and I just wish I'd taken her on a recent trip to Iceland where it seemed like all the other adults were hiking with sticks. They not only provide great movement, but also a good sense of balance and security.
