Trekking poles are very light and comfortable as they are folded and come in a case for easy storage. However, when using the trekking poles for the first time, one pole did not lock tightly due to the extra space above the button that snaps to lock the pole. Not only are the sticks of the highest quality, but I've once mastered the art of assembling them (it's easy, I just missed the obvious - pull tight!). I'm perfectly satisfied. I bought these rods for trout fishing in the Rocky Mountains. I needed a collapsible cane that could be worn on my belt while still being easy to use when I needed it. The big requirement was that the profiles snap into place when extended. Due to constant back and brain injuries, walking has become something that needs help. I've tried all other poles, walking sticks and trekking poles but these are the first fully foldable, compact and lightweight (yet STRONG) trekking poles I've come across. They also have great value as other camping gear of this type can cost upwards of $100 each and have much lower durability. Other sticks also start to "creak" and eventually become unusable, especially those with shock-absorbing properties.

I would never recommend these sticks. Bought them for a hike and went tonight to open them up and thankfully try them out before taking them on our 22 mile Presidential Peak Walk. They don't snap or snap into place, after watching 15 minute youtube videos on how to assemble them I can only conclude that they are faulty. This review is for the High Stream trekking pole set. I will compare them with the Nianyiso trekking poles that I bought on the same day. Both pairs of poles: fold easily, have molded handles, are made of lightweight aluminium, are height adjustable and have hand straps.
