The thing is very nice, works perfectly, does not take up much space.

I've been reading the reviews on here and people seem to have some issues with this unit so I threw it at my work station before installing it to check a few things. People are writing about the device not passing HDR to connected displays that are capable of it; It should be noted here that the device only outputs the picture that the connected television can display with the lowest quality. So if you connect one that only has stereo sound, they all have only stereo sound. If you connect one with HDR and one without HDR, they all have no HDR. I suspect this is a design constraint to optimize the internal hardware. On the face of it, it's pretty impressive that they can get this little box to convert 4K up to 1080p and back and still be responsive enough to play games, so I'm guessing you have a device that's the lowest determines the quality they need to show and then hands it out to both of them for convenience. To be honest, you'd be hard pressed to find anything similar that doesn't; In order to function as some would like, the device must decode two different HDMI streams and then re-encode them while manipulating the rest of the HDMI overhead. Overall, it's fantastic value for money, even if it's not immediately clear how it works.

Cons
