I used it to mount the TV on the ceiling of your patio and it worked great. The slope is also perfect for the application. The only downside is that the slot for threading the cables through the tube is a bit small. I actually had to poke the cable through to get it through, but it worked. Another thing to note is that the center of the mount is right on the back of the TV where the AV connections are on my TV, but I wasn't aware of this as I was using the mount and the TV at the same time have opened. I think this is an odd spot on a TV and should fit most TVs that have all connections on the sides of the TV. This particular one was just that, so check before closing any ports you may need.
