No difference with it or not

I tried to buy this active woofer to balance the sound in my truck because the speakers don't produce any bass. To my surprise I couldn't tell the difference with the woofer on or off, you can hear it if you're close, but under the seat it's not loud enough to completely drown out the sound, even played for 1 short way to the store and he started smelling so the whole truck stank. Unfortunately I'll be back for something better.
